Playhouse Conservatory serves as the educational heart of San Pedro Playhouse and Classic Theatre, nurturing the next generation of performers.

ACTING CLASSES

Thursdays – Foundations of Acting (Ages 6–12)

Level 2 (5–6 p.m.) – For returning actors developing deeper character, scene, and audition skills.

Level 1 (6–7 p.m.) – Beginner acting class focused on confidence, creativity, and performance basics.

DANCE CLASSES

Tuesdays – Dance & Movement for the Stage (Ages 6–12)

Level 2 (5–6 p.m.) – For students with prior dance experience to build stronger technique and choreography skills.

Level 1 (6–7 p.m.) – Intro class teaching foundational dance and musical theatre movement.

MUSIC & VOICE CLASSES

Tuesdays – Music & Voice (Ages 6–12)

Level 1 (5–6 p.m.) – Beginner-friendly class focused on vocal basics and music literacy.

Level 2 (6–7 p.m.) – For experienced singers ready to advance technique and repertoire.

VOICE LESSONS

One-on-one weekly and bi-weekly Voice Lessons with Dr. Sami Serrano Bassig are currently full – please check for more availability soon.

These 60-minute sessions focus on building healthy vocal technique, breath support, vowel shaping, body alignment, and growing your audition book with repertoire tailored to YOU.

Students must be enrolled in Music and Voice Class or have the ability to read music to enroll.

Each level is thoughtfully structured by the same age groups, allowing students to learn, progress, and build community alongside peers at a similar stage of development.

Start your Conservatory class with our monthly tuition—designed to make high-quality arts education accessible and flexible.

All classes take place at our theater and are automatically charged to the card on file every four weeks and may be prorated depending on the month.  Tuition rates are for the full Spring 2026 Semester which runs January 20, 2026 to May 28, 2026.

ADULT CLASSES

MT Adult Classes (Ages 16+) 

 Join Adult (ages 16+) Musical Theatre Dance Classes with the legendary Paige Berry, focusing on technique, leaps & turns, building confidence in choreography, and a supportive environment for students with dance experience.

Saturdays, 10–11 AM, Jan 31–Apr 4, 2026 (no class Mar 14), 9 classes total. 

Full session: $180 ($20/class) | Drop-in & Single Classes $25.

An experience created for adults who are beginning their acting journey or returning to the world of performance. In a guided and encouraging environment, you’ll build fundamental techniques, explore character work, and strengthen your ability to listen, respond, and create believable moments on stage. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝗚𝘆𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮 (𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱)
A fast-paced, performance-driven class for adults who are ready to elevate their craft. Admission is selective — a successful audition is required. Under instructor Tony Ciaravino, you’ll work weekly on monologues and partnered scenes with individualized coaching. Students receive a curated monologue packet and a professionally recorded piece to add to their reel. This class challenges you to take risks, refine your skills, and grow alongside fellow performers in a supportive studio environment.

THEATREACH

San Pedro Playhouse’s TheatREach program offers a transformative 10-session theater arts experience tailored for historically underserved communities. Designed to empower participants to overcome personal barriers and unlock their potential for personal and professional growth, our program utilizes experiential theater arts activities to cultivate crucial skills such as self-efficacy, emotional resilience, and interpersonal communication. Through creative expression lessons in various mediums including movement, creative writing, and design, participants embark on a journey of self-discovery and skill development. Complemented by classes on life and career visioning, as well as strategies for goal achievement, our program provides a comprehensive approach to empowerment. Participants also enjoy the opportunity to attend two theater shows. Customizable to meet the unique needs of any organization, TheatREach has successfully collaborated with SA Youth and Thrive Youth Center.
